New Delhi: The notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang has once again made headlines, issuing a chilling warning: anyone who offers help to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will be targeted. This shocking declaration follows the gang's claim of responsibility for the murder of Baba Siddique, a well-known politician and former Maharashtra minister, in a brutal attack that took place on Saturday night in Bandra East, near the office of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique.

The confirmation of the gang's involvement came on Sunday when a post surfaced on Facebook, allegedly from Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar, an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Using the name Shibu Lonkar, the post claimed responsibility for the murder and explained that Baba Siddique had been killed due to his alleged connections with Dawood Ibrahim, India's most wanted terrorist, and his close relationship with Salman Khan. The post also referenced the death of Anuj Thapan, a suspect involved in the Salman Khan house shooting incident from April 2023, who died under suspicious circumstances in police custody. While the authorities reported it as a suicide, Thapan’s family accused the police of torturing him to death.
In his post, Lonkar wrote: "We do not have any enmity with anyone, but whoever helps Salman Khan and the Dawood gang, keep your accounts ready." This ominous message has raised alarms throughout Bollywood and among political circles, given the high profile of the individuals involved.

The Salman Khan Connection
Salman Khan, one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, has long been at odds with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang due to his alleged involvement in the blackbuck poaching case from 1998. During the filming of the movie Hum Saath Saath Hain, Salman Khan was accused of killing blackbucks, an animal considered sacred by the Bishnoi community. This incident deeply offended the community, and since then, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has targeted Salman Khan.
In 2018, Lawrence Bishnoi himself made a direct threat to Salman Khan during a court appearance, stating: “We will kill Salman Khan in Jodhpur. The world will know once we take action.” The gang's grudge against the Bollywood actor has persisted over the years, with multiple threats and attacks targeting people associated with him.
In 2023, Punjabi celebrities Gippy Grewal and AP Dhillon were also attacked by the Bishnoi gang for their perceived closeness to Salman Khan. In November, shots were fired at Gippy Grewal’s house in Vancouver after he publicly praised Salman Khan and referred to him as a "brother." Similarly, AP Dhillon became a target after releasing a music video for his song Old Money, which featured Salman Khan. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, through its associate Rohit Godara, claimed responsibility for both incidents.
Baba Siddique's Murder and Its Aftermath
The murder of Baba Siddique has not only shocked the political community but also increased the tension around Salman Khan, who was reportedly close to Siddique. Baba Siddique was known for hosting high-profile events, including the famous 2013 iftar party where Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan publicly ended their long-standing feud. With Siddique’s tragic death, speculation immediately arose about a Lawrence Bishnoi gang connection, which was later confirmed by Lonkar’s social media post.
As a precaution, security around Salman Khan has been significantly increased. His residence, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, was previously the site of an attack in April 2023, where shots were fired outside the building. Although Salman Khan and his family were unharmed, he later informed the police that he believed the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the attempt on his life.
Heightened Security in Mumbai
In light of the ongoing threats, law enforcement agencies have intensified security measures around key figures, including Salman Khan and political leaders. In South Mumbai’s Malabar Hill, where Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar reside, patrolling has been ramped up and several access points have been restricted.
This added security comes at a crucial time, as the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has shown it is willing to act on its threats. The gang, which became infamous after claiming responsibility for the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala in 2022, has grown bolder in its criminal activities, escalating the danger to individuals linked to Salman Khan and other high-profile targets.
The Blackbuck Poaching Case: A Lingering Grudge
At the heart of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s vendetta against Salman Khan lies the blackbuck poaching case from 1998. During the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain in Rajasthan, Salman K
han and others were accused of killing endangered blackbucks, which are revered by the Bishnoi community. This incident sparked outrage among the Bishnois, who consider the blackbuck sacred, and it has fueled their resentment towards the Bollywood actor ever since.Despite the passage of time, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has not let go of this grievance. Their ongoing threats and violent actions are a constant reminder that the blackbuck case continues to cast a long shadow over Salman Khan’s life and career.
A Dangerous Feud
The intersection of Bollywood, crime, and politics has once again become a dangerous mix, with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang at the center. As threats against Salman Khan and his associates grow, authorities are working around the clock to prevent further violence. The tragic murder of Baba Siddique and the gang's chilling warning have sent shockwaves through both Bollywood and political circles, leaving everyone on high alert.
As the feud between the Bishnoi gang and Salman Khan escalates, the stakes continue to rise, with public safety hanging in the balance. For now, Salman Khan and those close to him remain under tight security, as the threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang looms large.
