The final rites of Ratan Tata were conducted at the Worli crematorium in Mumbai. The ceremony saw the presence of his family, including half-brother Noel Tata, as well as top executives from the Tata Group, such as Chairman N. Chandrasekaran. The Mumbai police paid tribute to Tata with a ceremonial gun salute, recognizing his immense contribution to the nation.

Earlier in the day, his body was kept at the NCPA lawns at Nariman Point for public viewing, where a large crowd gathered to pay their last respects. The dignitaries present included Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel.
